Simone
Simone was born and raised in NYC, where she graduated from Hunter College High School with honors and distinction. She received her B.A. from Yale University in American Studies with a concentration in Visual, Audio and Literary Performance Cultures. As an actor and writer, she devotes her time both onstage and off to effective communication skills and compelling, intricate storytelling.
In her time at Yale she worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a Recruitment Coordinator, working directly with Yale admissions officers for four years and gaining invaluable exposure to the ins and outs of the selection process. Her firsthand knowledge of the qualities admissions committees look for in their applicants has enabled her to guide many students through the process, helping them craft essays highlighting their strengths and demonstrate their abilities through creative and persuasive writing.
She also worked in the Yale Undergraduate Admissions Office as a Senior Interviewer, interviewing prospective students and writing follow-up reports that played a key role in admissions decisions. Simone saw firsthand that certain qualities can make or break a student's interview, and that guided preparation from someone who's been on the other side of the table is indispensable. She utilizes her background in performance and communications to guide students through interview prep that lets them feeling calm, confident and prepared. The experience of applying to college inherently must be quite personal, to honor the students' individuality and ensure they find the school that is truly the right fit for them, and Simone's goal is to help demystify the process and allow students to actualize to their full application potentials both in writing and in person.
